Our team, in collaboration with Splitska Plovidba, has made significant improvements to the vessel's propulsion system, achieving remarkable outcomes.
Key Improvements:
Elimination of Vibrations Before the optimization, the m/b “VRANJIC” experienced considerable vibrations in the stern section. These vibrations were present since the vessel's acquisition and necessitated operating the engine at reduced RPMs to mitigate the issue. Following the optimization to “Class S” standards, these vibrations have been entirely eliminated, enhancing the overall stability and performance of the vessel.
Increased Speed The vessel's speed has seen a notable increase of approximately 1.5 to 2 knots. This improvement allows for more efficient voyages, saving valuable time on each journey.
Reduced Fuel Consumption One of the most significant benefits of the optimization is the reduction in fuel consumption. The m/b “VRANJIC” now uses approximately 800-900 kg less fuel per voyage on the Split-Bari-Split route. This efficiency translates to substantial cost savings and a lower environmental impact.
Voyage Duration
- Full Load: Approximately 22 hours
- In Ballast: Approximately 18 hours
These improvements have surpassed our expectations, and we are excited about the potential for future collaborations and further advancements. The success of this project is a testament to the exceptional teamwork and expertise involved in the optimization process.
We look forward to continuing our journey towards excellence in maritime operations.
